The Project:
"The Last Spartans : Portraits of Warriors" will be a series of portraits that will encompass
two personalities; both the off-line "In Real Life" person, and the online Halo 3 persona.
These portraits will be presented side-by-side to illustrate how "Virtual Worlds" and real people
interact to create identities in video games and how those indentities can be customised to better
reflect the real-life user.
The first part of the portraits series will be traditional photographic portraiture of the subjects as
they are in everyday real life.
The second part of the series will be portraits of each subject while occupying an identity in Halo 3,
complete with their individualized player armor. These sessions will be photographed and composed by
the photographer and will be printed for photographic presentation.
This is a project that will start in 2008 and run throughout the year.

What I am looking for:
1. Halo 3 players in close proximity to Nashua NH (Boston, Northen Mass, Southern Maine, etc.)
2. Halo 3 players who have customized their Halo 3 character armor to their tastes and have left
the armor that way for a long period of time (not looking for someone that changes their armor or
helmet every other match or week.)
3. Halo 3 players willing to travel to my studio in Nashua NH to be photographed in person.
4. halo 3 players that are willing to meet me in a custom game online so I can capture them for
their portrait.
All participants in this series will recieve a set of prints with their [real-world] portrait,
as well as their [spartan] portrait. Turnaround time TBD.
This eventual completed series will be shopped around to galleries and magazines for
potential exhibitions and press.
The photographer will have a model release that each participant will sign
before their images are taken.
